2026 Mazda CX-5 vs. Mazda CX-50 in Lakewood, CO

Compare the redesigned 2026 Mazda CX-5 and Mazda CX-50 by powertrain, dimensions, cargo space, technology, AWD capability, and towing to understand where these two Mazda SUVs differ.

Two Mazda SUVs. Different Engineering Priorities.

How Are the Mazda CX-5 and CX-50 Different?

The 2026 Mazda CX-5 and Mazda CX-50 both seat five and give drivers all-wheel-drive capability, but their similarities don't make them interchangeable. Dimensions, powertrain choices, cargo configurations, ground clearance, towing limits, and cabin technology create meaningful differences between the two.

The redesigned CX-5 has grown for 2026, adding passenger and cargo space while introducing Mazda's newest cabin technology. The CX-50 has a lower overall profile and a broader powertrain lineup with naturally aspirated gas, Turbo, and Hybrid choices.

This comparison focuses on those measurable differences so you can understand what each SUV brings to the table before comparing them in person at McDonald Mazda West.
